Fore the Kids
Each year the ‘FORE the Kids’ tournament has raised over $10K in funds and brought out over one hundred golfers. It has all gone to support the Bat Cave’s expository and creative writing programs. Plus, golfers who hit the fairway in their loudest, wackiest golf attire were eligible to win extra prizes! So grab your clubs and best umbrella-hat and come on out to help teach young people in Austin to love writing and to empower them with skills to last a lifetime.

Eat Your Words
Austin Bat Cave’s most delicious fundraising event is our annual Eat Your Words celebration! We invite local storytellers and chefs for a special evening of dinner, drinks, and fun. This year, we welcomed an exciting list of chefs, beverage pros and story-tellers alike for a delicious night to support a good cause. Hosted by Austin institution Texas French Bread, we were thrilled to spend an evening in their amazing space celebrating and supporting ABC’s programming.
All the money raised from these auction items will benefit the free writing programs that Austin Bat Cave continues to offer for schools and partner organizations all over Central Texas. This year alone, we served over one thousand students across nearly fifty programs! We raised over $12,000 for Austin Bat Cave’s free writing programs in 2018! Thank you to everybody who came out and supported Austin Bat Cave.
